Artie managed Survivor which was the byproduct of the Scotti Bros whose label Survivor was signed to. Calling Artie in desperation when both Atlantic and Epic Records rejected the first survivor album - Artie reedited, resequenced and remastered the rejected album. Artie then went back to Epic and met with the 2 heads of Epic, Tony Martel and Don Dempsey who got very excited about what they heard and wanted to sign the artist - hoping Artie would be reasonable in his deal demands. Tony Scotti called Artie one day saying that Sylvester Stallone needed a hit song for his Rocky 3 movie and asked whether Survivor who Artie was now managing would take a shot at it - thus spurring the creation of Eye of the Tiger
